Cancer Care Delivery Lab Study Featured in Patient Engagement HIT
Our team analyzed data from the Health Information National Trends Study (n=8,790 adults) and found that smartphone-only internet was associated with reduced patient portal use. The study suggests that smartphone access may not address the digital divide and that additional strategies are needed to improve virtual access to healthcare.
New Digital Health Study Featured in EHR Intelligence
Using EHR data, our team found that most built-in EHR features were not associated with saved time when controlling for other physician-level factors. Notwithstanding, physicians with greater team support may see less time spent in the EHR. The findings suggest adopting care team models may be one component of an organization's strategy to addressing physician burnout.
