Yifeng Gao, Ph.D., Postdoctoral Fellow

After graduation from China Agricultural University with a B.S. degree in Chemistry, I pursued a Ph.D. degree in Cancer Biology studying Epigenetics in the University of Alabama at Birmingham. My training as a postdoc started at MD Anderson Cancer Center where I focused on EMT and metastasis in cancer. Then it continued here at Moffitt Cancer Center in p53 and lncRNAs. Now in the Wan Lab, the main focus of my study is to understand how cancer cells manipulate protein post-translational modification processes to alter central signaling pathways, promoting enhanced proliferation and resistance to drugs.
