  • Sang Jun publishes his work using in vivo stable isotope tracing to map the origin and catabolism of cysteine in murine tissues and tumor models in Cancer Research.
  • Nate, Aimee and Nicolas publish collaborative work on how the source of nicotinamide governs its metabolic fate in Cell Reports.
  • Gina organizes the Central Triangle Metabolism Meeting with Tim Osborne at Johns Hopkins All Children’s and Bret Goodpaster at Advent Health Translational Research Institute. Chang, Janine, Laura, Nate, Yumi, and Amanda present posters.

  • Gina presents the lab's research at the NIH Redox Biology Interest Group
  • Gina presents in the AACR Education session "Tumor Cell Adaptability and Stress Response" at the AACR Annual Meeting.
  • Janine receives a Scholar in Training award and presents a poster in the “Mouse Models of Human Cancer” poster session at AACR. Congrats Janine! 
  • Janine publishes her work characterizing the influence of NRF2 and KEAP1 mutations on lung tumor initiation and progression in Cancer Research.
  • Lejin is accepted into the Moffitt PhD program. Congrats Lejin!
  • Gina presents the lab's research at the EMBO Ferroptosis Meeting in Kloster Seeon, Germany.

May 2023 

  • Pritin Soni joins the lab. Welcome Pritin! 
  • Lejin graduates from USF. Congratulations Lejin!
  • Gina organizes the second annual Cancer Metabolism Showcase and Workshops. Janine is selected for an oral presentation and Yumi, Nate, Chang, Sang Jun and Amanda present posters. 
  • Chang is a speaker in the "Transition from PhD to postdoc in academia" Workshop at Cancer Metabolism Showcase and Workshops.

  • Chang is an invited speaker to present her research at the Gordon Conference Cancer Genetics and Epigenetics Research Seminar. She is also invited as one of the speakers for the Panel Discussion on "Maximizing Success: Technology Development, Career Trajectory, and Work-Life Balance"
