The Yamoah Research lab is a global laboratory geared toward conducting translational research to aid in identifying gene-specific factors that contribute to aggressive disease and poor survival in men of African origin with prostate cancer.

Not only does our research focus on health disparities, but we also aim to discover the biological factors that predispose African American men to higher prostate cancer incidence and mortality; to inform targeted treatment recommendations and allow for improved personalization of treatment.
