Group Facilitators


 

Kristin Phillips, Ph.D. Dr. Phillips is one of your group facilitators for Project ADAPT. She is a licensed psychologist who specializes in counseling people with a history of cancer. Mindfulness is a central part of her own daily practice and she looks forward to sharing these approaches with you each week throughout the program.

 

Carolyn George, Ph.D. Dr. George is excited to be one of your group facilitators over the next nine weeks. Her background is in clinical psychology, primarily treating substance abuse disorders in a variety of settings.  She is looking forward to working with you on your journey to quit smoking and modify your alcohol use.   

 

 

Sean Morrison, Ph.D. Dr. Morrison is a clinical psychologist who has spent his time working in the VA healthcare system and in private practice. He completed his doctorate in 2015 at LSU and enjoys meditating by the water with his dog Max (who would rather be swimming).

 

Marina Unrod, Ph.D. Dr. Unrod is excited to be your Project ADAPT group facilitator. Her background is in clinical and health psychology, and she has been helping people change health behaviors like smoking and alcohol use for over 20 years. She looks forward to meeting with you each week as you progress towards your goals!

 

Eddie Silber, M.S. Eddie is a clinical psychology doctoral candidate at the Illinois Institute of Technology. His background includes evidence-based interventions for health behavior change and psychological distress, including diet, physical activity, and anxiety disorders. Eddie is excited to serve as one of your Project ADAPT group facilitators and looks forward to supporting you each week as you work toward your smoking and alcohol use goals.

 

Ricardo Woods-Gonzalez, B.S. Ricardo is a group facilitator for Project ADAPT and is looking forward to the opportunity to work with you over the next few months. He is currently completing his PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of South Florida, where he studies contributing factors related to relapse in individuals with Alcohol Use Disorder. He hopes to help make your experience with Project ADAPT both supportive and rewarding as you work toward your personal health goals.


Research Staff


Jeannette Garcia, B.A. Ms. Garcia is the research coordinator for Project ADAPT. She will assist with assessments and technical support during the sessions. She looks forward to supporting your participation in this study.
