The Dr. Robert Gillies Machine Learning Workshop in Image Analytics
On November 14 and 15, 2022, we hosted the Dr. Robert Gillies Machine Learning Workshop in Image Analytics.
The conference was held in memory of Dr. Robert Gillies.
The Dr. Robert Gillies Machine Learning Workshop in Image Analytics was the first annual conference in memory of Dr. Robert Gillies, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.

10-26-22 Oktoberfest
On October 26, 2022 the Machine Learning Department Celebrated Oktoberfest which was hosted by Dr. Dana Rollison.
It was wonderful being able to see other Quant Sci faculty and staff and collaborate! We celebrated with soft pretzels and apple pie!

9-9-22 Junior Scientist Retreat
Postdocs and graduate students visited the @floridaaquarium today for the annual Junior Scientist Retreat, There they learned about scientific career paths and networking to help further their education and training in cancer research.

The Machine Learning Department held its first Journal Club on the Bayesian Deep Neural Networks with Variational Interference by Dr. Ghulam Rasool and Dipesh Niraula.

Dr. Issam El Naqa met with a new amazing generation of PhDs for breakfast at AAPM 2022 64th Annual Meeting & Exhibition which took place July 10, 2022 to July 14, 2022.

6-1-22 Abe Oraiqat Farewell Dinner
Abe Oraiqat became the second ever radiation oncology medical physics resident.
As we said farewell to Abe Oraiqat, we celebrated by hosting a wonderful dinner that everyone seemed to have fun at!
5-10-22 2022 Moffitt Scientific Symposium
Some of our team participated in the 2022 Moffitt Symposium which began as a way to bring clinical, quantitative and translational scientists together for presentation of amazing work being done here at Moffitt Cancer Center.
Dr. Dipesh Niraula, PhD presented "Evaluation of Physician's trust in AI-assisted decision making."
Dr. Ibrahim (Abe) Oraiqat, PhD presented "In Vivo Demonstration of 3D Dosimetry and Radiation Beam Localization via Ionizing Radiation Acoustics Imaging (iRAI) in Rabbit Model."

3-14-22 - Pi Day
It was great being able to see other Quant Sci faculty and staff and collaborate at 2022 Pi Day! We celebrated with pizza pie and mini fruit pies.
