11-18-23 Miles for Moffitt
The Machine Learning Department took place in the 18th Annual Miles For Moffitt which raised more than $1.4 million for vital cancer research.

On November 2, 2023, Dr. Muhammad Alli spoke to the Machine Learning Journal Club on how to Submit MATLAB jobs on the RED cluster. To show their appreciation, Moffitt leadership treated all team members to a gourmet popsicle and ice cream from Hyppo Ice Pops and Mayday Ice Cream on May 10th. Members of the Machine Learning Department greatly enjoyed taking a few minutes break to socialize with each other!
4-28-23 Biomedical AI Inaugural Workshop
The Inaugural Biomedical AI Workshop took place on 4-28-23 at Moffitt Cancer Center.
We hosted the University of South Florida faculty and heads of various Departments from several Colleges led by Randy Larsen who were eager to learn about our department and collaborative opportunities arising.

The Machine Learning Department participated in Moffitt's Patient Experience Week 2023 on April 25, 2023. They thoroughly enjoyed the lovely desserts that were offered.

We excitedly hosted Dr. Maryellen L. Giger, Ph.D. on April 4th and 5th, 2023 as @ml4onco's speaker for Quantitative Science Grand Rounds. Her topic was "AI/ML and Data Science in Medical Imaging of Breast Cancer and COVID-19". The presentation was amazing.

3-30-23 Machine Learning League: MATLAB
On March 30, 2023, we hosted another MLL with our speakers Dr. Reza Fazel-Rezai and Renee Qian entitled "Medical Image Analysis and AI Workflows in MATLAB." We look forward to another presentation, September 27, 2023.

On January 11, 2023 we visited the UNITY@Moffitt Relaunch - Coffee Talk. As part of Moffitt Cancer Center is "highly motivated to continue improving standards of care for our LGBTQ+ patients and to conduct research studies that will benefit the LGBTQ+ community."

Due to a hectic season last year, @ml4onco finally had a chance to meet for our annual holiday potluck on January 11, 2023. The team enjoyed partaking in a variety of international dishes as we celebrate our differences, as well as our similarities, together as a cohesive team!
